FAQ

Common questions about speaker cleaning, water ejection, and sound testing.

When should I use this tool?

Use it when your phone speaker sounds muffled, quieter than normal, or distorted because of light water exposure, trapped dust, or lint.

Do I need to download an app?

No. Fix My Speakers works directly in your web browser, so you can use the speaker cleaner and sound test without installing an app.

Does this work on iPhone and Android phones?

It is designed to work on most phones and tablets that can play audio through their speakers, including many iPhone and Android devices.

How long should I play the speaker cleaning sound?

Start with 15 seconds for light moisture or dust, move to 30 seconds if the speaker still sounds muffled, and use 60 seconds only when a shorter run is not enough.

How to remove water from my speaker?

Start with Water Ejector mode, keep the speaker opening pointed downward, run the cleaning sound for 15 seconds, and then test the speaker. If the sound is still muffled, try a longer run.

Can I test the speaker after cleaning?

Yes. After the cleaning flow completes, the result screen opens a speaker sound test so you can check whether the audio sounds clearer, louder, or less muffled.

When should I stop and get the phone checked?

If the speaker stays heavily distorted, the phone will not charge, the microphone also fails, or the device starts rebooting, stop using this tool and consider repair.

Use the cleaning sound, test the speaker, and repeat only if the sound still seems blocked.

This website is a self-serve browser tool. It is not a repair service and does not guarantee that every speaker issue can be fixed.
